We're excited to announce the launch of MyInfo 8.4, which introduces a wealth of new features and improvements. This update brings Markdown import support, elevates the Evernote ENEX import from experimental status, and adds different general usability improvements. Notably, links within notes are now distinctively colored, and there's greater flexibility in managing note perspectives and selections. MyInfo 8.4 is designed to make your information management even more efficient and enjoyable.
Markdown Import
MyInfo 8.4 features full Markdown import support. You can insert Markdown files in the text editor, create notes from Markdown files and import folders containing Markdown files.
MyInfo will try to preserve most of the formatting from your Markdown files. That includes headings, font effects, lists, links, tasks, and even tables and pictures!
Evernote ENEX Import
The Evernote ENEX import feature is now officially out of the experimental phase!
We've also added support for "Table of Contents" note to help you import internal links better.
Internal Links Formatting
Speaking of internal links, they now boast their own unique text style, "Link - Internal", which displays them in green to distinguish them from external links. This visual cue helps you quickly identify links to other notes at a glance.
If you prefer all links to look the same, you can easily turn this off. Just head to Format > Styles > Link - Internal > Font, and select Auto as the link color.
Improvements & Bug Fixes
- Switching between list perspectives or editing notes in them no longer collapses perspective groups.
- Now you can select which specific section to use for clipped notes.
- Automatic app updates now require no user interaction.
- Inserting HTML file with images in the text editor was not showing the imported images right away.
- Typing custom font size in the toolbar control now works properly.
- Setting custom keyboard shortcuts was not working in the last version.
- Notes created using the @ command are created as subnotes when in tree section. You can turn that off in Editing options.
